We will rehearse at the Waterville Maine High School on Mon-Tue., July 22-23. Schedule of the concert venues and other details are available on the Bandmembers website: www.bandmembers.yankeebrassband.org/ybbSchedule2024.html

Electronic Communication

Most of the communication is being done on-line through the 2024 Tour web site located at: www.bandmembers.yankeebrassband.org. Logistics

John Mueller is this year's program coordinator and will be handling the arrangements for the 2024 concerts, rehearsal sites and other logistics. Steve Gasiorowski and Jon Hall will be dealing with musicians, instruments and working with Jim Chesebrough on other music needs. If you have questions about the 2024 events or logistics please contact either Steve or John (see contact information below).

If possible, please bring a solid, black music stand that you would like to use for rehearsals and traveling. We will need to bring music stands to the rehearsal site. Everyone will be responsible for transporting their own music stand(s) to concert sites. We have a limited number of music stands available for the week. If you will need one, please let Steve Gasiorowski know.

Travel Instructions and other information about the week are posted on the 2023 Tour website. Please check that site frequently for updates.

Concert Attire

Concert attire will be the dark blue jacket, white Levi 501 button-front jeans, red kepi, black socks, and black shoes. Each member of the band will be responsible for buying the appropriate jeans. Jackets and kepis will be supplied by the organization. If you do not have a jacket please contact Mary Gasiorowski or Steve Gasiorowski ASAP.

We have decided to have a "hot-weather" alternative to the wool jackets. Please plan to wear a white, long-sleeved button-down collared shirt. We will supply red-suspenders. When the weather is hot, we will take off the jackets and still be in a nice "uniform".

Schedule

Information about the schedule is available on the 2024 Tour web site.

Accomodations

The Maine Tourism website includes information on accommodations in the Waterville area. www.visitmaine.com/places-to-go/the-kennebec-valley/waterville

COVID Precautions

Some variation of COVID will be still with us this summer, so our expectation is that all attendees are up-to-date on appropriate vaccines and boosters. The Board reserves the right to alter protocols or establish new ones as it deems necessary. Whatever they might be, they will be mandatory. The Board intends to provide as much advance notice as possible.
